Alison Canavan Promoted to Chief Strategist

Chicago- and Washington, D.C.-based Social Capital, one of the country’s leaders in nonprofit development, cause marketing and corporate-nonprofit partnerships, is pleased to announce that Senior Strategist Alison Canavan has been promoted to Chief Strategist. Ms. Canavan, a valued Social Capital team member, has established herself as an expert in her field over the past 15 years. 

At Social Capital, Ms. Canavan serves as a trusted advisor to national and global nonprofits. Her clients have included American Red Cross, Girls Scouts of the USA, Land Trust Alliance, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, National 4-H Council, March of Dimes, National Safety Council, Vera Institute and Mercy Corps.

As Chief Strategist, Ms. Canavan will head the Washington D.C. office and lead both national and global nonprofit engagements on growing sustainable revenue and impact.

A graduate of American University, Ms. Canavan previously worked at the American Bar Association, American Red Cross and Center for American Progress.
