Jay Aldous is Director; Private Sector Partnerships for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) based in Rome, Italy. He is an experienced leader in marketing and resource development with a track record in design and execution of global fundraising campaigns.
From 2005 to 2010, Aldous served with the US Fund for UNICEF as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. During his tenure he created UNICEF's call-to-action campaign, Believe in Zero, and UNICEF’s award winning clean water initiative, the Tap Project. In addition, he oversaw the U.S. Fund's Ambassador Program, and celebrity and sports relationships. Previous, Aldous spent nine years with Children's Miracle Network as the Senior Vice President of Marketing developing innovative programs with corporate partners.
Aldous was recognized as the 2008 Nonprofit Marketer of the Year by the American Marketing Association for his lifetime of leadership and achievement in the field of nonprofit marketing. He holds a Master of Business Administration and a BS in Marketing from the University of Utah. He is a leading speaker around the world on corporate philanthropy and innovative corporate partnerships. Aldous is the past world record holder for bicycling around the world (14,290 miles in 106 days). He holds the current world age record for running 100 miles (13:52:45).
