Don't Panic London

Joe Wade is a BAFTA winning British filmmaker, TV writer, producer and the MD and co-founder of advertising agency Don’t Panic. He co-created the BBC 3 TV show The Revolution Will Be Televised, which won a BAFTA for Best Comedy, which held politicians and businessmen accountable for their wrongdoings in a satirical manner. He also created BBC 2 show, Revolting which satirised the state of the nation.

As MD of Don’t Panic Joe has lead the company on a journey that saw it transition from creating the famous flyer packs to being a leading advertising agency, best known for making viral content. Beginning in 2011 with Can I Be Your Friend for the English National Opera, which sold out the first ever digital opera and won the Lovie Award for Best Viral.

Other viral smashes include the Most Shocking Second a Day Video for Save The Children. The film went on to be the most successful cause related video of all time, winning a Gold Lion at Cannes. The success of the video proves the formula Joe has implemented in a string of viral hits including Everything’s Not Awesome for Greenpeace which ended a 50-year, £56m partnership between Lego and Shell, and ‘Can you make it to the end?’ an emotionally powerful video which showed, through the eyes of an autistic child, what it’s like to deal with sensory overload, and was watched over 56 million times.
