Feeding America
Johanna Vetter is the Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing at Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization. She is responsible for brand strategy and implementation, brand marketing efforts and public engagement in Feeding America and hunger. In this role, Vetter oversees all Feeding America’s Public Service Announcement campaigns in partnership with the Ad Council. In the last year, she launched an outdoor campaign, featuring original art by Shepard Fairey, which quickly earned more than $10 million in additional new donated media. She also directed the development of the organization’s first paid brand advertising campaign, increasing awareness and helping to drive consumer engagement.
Most recently, Vetter led the strategy and development of a new celebrity PSA campaign that has garnered a tremendous amount of press and visibility for the organization.
A highly-qualified marketing professional with more than 15 years of experience building brands and marketing programs, Vetter previously served as Vice President of Marketing Communications at Global Hyatt Corporations. She led strategic development and tactical execution of business-to-business and consumer marketing programs. She oversaw development and execution of all brand advertising and communications.
Beginning her tenure at Global Hyatt Corporation as Director of Advertising and Marketing Communications, Vetter was responsible for developing and executing marketing communications for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts across all marketing disciplines, including advertising, direct marketing, online, and public relations to reach consumer segments. She also managed all Hyatt global advertising across all marketing programs and target audience segments.
Vetter’s career began at Euro RSCG Chicago, where she held a number of positions and worked on a variety of accounts, including Cerveceria Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma, Darden Restaurants, Alberto Culver, Bayer Consumer Care, Procter & Gamble and Chase Manhattan Bank.
Vetter holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Providence College.
