As Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at BET Networks, Nneka is charged with leveraging BET’s superpowers for social good and protecting the Network’s brand reputation. As such, she directs all of the company’s charitable giving, philanthropy programs, partnerships and employee engagement strategy. Nneka also leads BET’s external stakeholder relationships with a focus on cultivating high impact partnerships that deliver strategic value to BET with government, NGO and corporate stakeholders.
During her tenure Nneka has developed and launched brand building social impact marketing campaigns, revamped the charitable giving strategy, formed high level partnerships and increase employee volunteer participation by over 40%. In addition, Nneka manages the CSR communications strategy for the company ensuring internal and external awareness about BET’s impact both nationally and globally.
Prior to BET Networks, Nneka spent three years at The Kaiser Family Foundation as a Program Officer in the Communications and Strategic Partnerships division managing high impact partnerships across the US, Caribbean and Europe.
Nneka is a recognized leader in the social impact space and has received significant recognition for her work including: Cynopsis Social Good Awards, The Network Journal Magazine’s 2015 “40 Under Forty Achievers”, 2015 Women in Cable Television (WICT) Rising Leader and stories in O, Oprah Magazine and Forbes.com.” Co-Founder of More Than Esquires Network (MTEN), membership organization for attorneys that are pursuing professions beyond the practice of law, Nneka holds a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, an MPA from Bernard M. Baruch School of Public Affairs, and a B.S. from Boston University College of Communication.
