Kate Shillin
Strategist, Conference Manager
Kate Shillin has been a professional in the philanthropic industry for 10 years, with experience in both the non-profit and corporate sectors. She currently manages the Social Capital annual conference and operations projects, as well as providing support for various client needs.
Prior to joining Social Capital, Shillin served as the Cooperative Giving Coordinator for Organic Valley, the nation’s largest organic farmer cooperative, where she oversaw the cooperative’s many charitable giving programs, including strategic marketing partnerships, community donations, scholarships and grants. She also represented the cooperative on the Board of Directors for the Great Rivers United Way.
Before that, Shillin was the Director of Development - Corporate Partnerships at Special Olympics Wisconsin. As director, she managed partnerships at various levels and managed an organization-wide restructuring of partnerships. Shillin also served in several other roles during her tenure at Special Olympics Wisconsin, including event management, individual giving, and regional fundraising and marketing.
Shillin earned her Journalism Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She resides in Onalaska, WI.
