HOLLEY DARDEN – CHIEF STRATEGIST & GROUP LEADER, D.C.

Holley Darden is a 20-year marketing professional who has worked for major Washington, D.C. nonprofits such as The Smithsonian Institution, The Nature Conservancy, and the leading PBS television and radio station WETA. Darden is known for developing national call-to-action campaigns that drive a target audience from interest to action. Additionally, Darden’s experience ranges from corporate sponsorship sales for nonprofit-driven marketing initiatives to new business development, contract negotiation, partner services, and working with agencies to ensure results. She has developed and executed innovative cause marketing programs with corporations and media partners such as Lexus, 3M, Georgia-Pacific, Orvis, Visa, Bank of America, S.C. Johnson, Procter & Gamble, Discovery Channel, and Parade Magazine.  

In addition, she has experience in corporate sponsorship sales for nonprofit-driven marketing initiatives.  She developed a national touring photography exhibition "In Response to Place" and a national radio series “Stories from the Heart of the Land."  Darden has also developed national public service advertising campaigns and has extensive experience in developing original marketing programs that raise brand awareness and help drive fundraising results.

Prior to her work for the nonprofit sector, Darden spent several years in brand management with consumer packaged goods company Procter & Gamble where she led the introduction of Folgers Singles into the marketplace. Darden earned her B.A. in Journalism from the University of Southern California and her M.B.A. from Georgetown University. She is based in Washington, D.C.
