SIMON
WILLIAMS – STRATEGIST & PRACTICE LEADER, CREATIVE SERVICES
Simon Williams is a fundraising marketing professional who has worked in the nonprofit industry for the last six years. In addition to bringing creative support to Social Capital, Williams supports clients by working closely with them to develop sales and fundraising materials such as presentations, proposals and other collateral. Williams' clients have included the American Farmland Trust, American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, KaBOOM!, Make-A-Wish Foundation International, National Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Association, Prevent Blindness America, Share Our Strength, StoryCorps, Special Olympics International, and United Way of America.
Before coming to Social Capital, Williams was a marketing manager at The Nature Conservancy. There, he worked to develop and implement strategies and content for gift planning marketing and donor stewardship initiatives. In addition to supporting key fundraising targets, Williams supported the development of the organization’s annual report, conservation campaign and fundraising trainings for philanthropy staff.
Prior to The Nature Conservancy, Williams worked for the Center for Sustainable Destinations at the National Geographic Society.
Williams earned his B.A. in American Studies at the University of Lancaster in the United Kingdom during which time he also studied on scholarship to the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is based in Washington, D.C.
