KARA GUSTAFSON

Head of Community Impact
SoulCycle

Kara is Head of Community Impact at SoulCycle. In this role she oversees the company’s social impact programs and giving, and serves as a member of the SoulCycle Diversity & Inclusion Council.

Prior to SoulCycle, Kara spent fifteen years at Goldman Sachs, where she was a senior Vice President in the Executive Office, overseeing strategic global partnerships and initiatives to advance the firm's Corporate Engagement platform. She was a member of the founding team that, beginning in 2008, launched and scaled Goldman Sachs' $1.6 billion of philanthropic investments. These efforts have driven economic growth through innovative programs focused on women entrepreneurs in emerging markets and small business owners in the US and UK, by providing them with business education, access to capital, and mentorship. During her tenure, Kara also served as a committee member of the Goldman Sachs Women’s Network.

Kara currently serves as treasurer and member of the Board of Directors of PL+US, a nonprofit that advocates for paid family leave for men and women in the US. She earned her BA from Fairfield University and lives in Brooklyn, NY.
