Kelly Trimyer, senior strategist at Social Capital, is a recognized leader in nonprofit fundraising with a track record of building successful corporate partnerships and retail cause marketing campaigns. Since joining Social Capital Trimyer has served as senior strategist to leading nonprofits, including Easterseals, American Red Cross, and Best Friends Animal Society.
Prior to joining Social Capital, Trimyer led corporate relations for Special Olympics International. There, she developed fundraising, marketing and stewardship strategies for a portfolio of corporate partners – including Mattel, Finish Line and Safeway – that generated $14 million in annual revenue.
Before joining Special Olympics, Trimyer managed top-tier corporate relationships at Share Our Strength and helped launch the organization’s groundbreaking No Kid Hungry platform. Trimyer also helped to revamp Share Our Strength’s impact communications and partnership renewal strategies, which resulted in a 90% partner retention rate. Prior to Share Our Strength, Trimyer managed annual giving and direct response corporate partnerships for American Red Cross.
Trimyer began her career in the early days of internet start-ups at a Silicon Valley college counseling and test prep firm. Trimyer and her husband own and operate three restaurants with 75 team members.
Trimyer earned a BA in public policy studies and German from Duke University and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is based in Cary, NC.
